Things I've Been Enjoying

Hey! How's it going?

Now that school is out (for-ever!!!) I have a lot more free time on my hands. At first, I wasn't sure what I would fill all this time with.

Below are a few of the things I have been enjoying lately in my newly found free time:

Knitting

I took a knitting class with my Future-Aunt-In-Law (boyfriend's Aunt) and we had a great time. They suck you in with the promise of learning, then you end up spending half your paycheck on yard and supplies for a ton of projects that may never come to fruition!  I have a decent start on a scarf, and a pattern and supplies for another one.

Reading

Now that I don't have required reading for classes (not that I ever did it!!) I have more time to read new books. Recently I joined a book club, and I'm not only loving all the new books being recommended, but I love the new group of friends I have made.

Find me on Good Reads!

I wish that I could say I've also been getting a workout in every day or cooking some amazing food, but neither have happened recently. This will change soon, mark my words!

What are your favorite pass times?

  1. How about that?? Knitting and reading, two of my favorite things. You will have to share some of your favorite patterns and books with me!! They have some really fun yarns now. Below is a link with several:

  2. @Kerri Since I am still fairly new to both, I don't have much to share yet. I am very excited to read "Divergent" although it sounds very like "Hunger Games".

As for knitting, I am trying to rib a scarf right now: cast on 32, k2, p2. Repeat until you are out of yarn LOL.

  3. Reading, cooking, and all of a sudden, baking. I have never been able to bake things in the past and get them to turn out (I think that maybe it's a Y-chromosome thing), but in the last year I have successfully been able to make a rhubarb pie, and apple pie, and a carrot cake.
