Ooops I did it again...

Nothing like a little throw back Britney on a hump day right? LOL

Sort of a cryptic title, but I did do it again. I registered for another race!

Now I have 3 races the next 3 weekends. This Saturday, September 24th, I'll be running the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K.

This was a very last minute decision. My favorite running cousin is running it as well.

The following weekend, Saturday, October 1st, I'll be running the 3rd Anuual Rosstoberfest.

Rossotberfest is a local race that raises money for Parent Project Muscular Distrophy. From the website:

Ross McFarland was born in 1995 with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His mom Beverly and dad Robert, both avid runners, decided in January of 2008 to put together this run to honor Ross and to raise funds for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

This will be my second time running this race. I am excited to revisit my very first race again. While I would love to PR this race, I have no idea how I ran so fast last year! As long as I finish, I will be ecstatic!
Finally, to wrap up my tour-de-races, on Sunday, October 9th, I will be running the Prairie Fire Mayor's 5K challenge.

Le sigh....the prairie fire. This was supposed to be my triumphant return to the half marathon. Alas, I crapped out on my training again, and will only be completing the 5K. There is the tiniest pang of regret for the decision I made, but that was it, a decision. While it would have been amazing to run another half, my heart wasn't in it. There will be others. I am excited I will be able to watch my wonderful cousin cross the line (hopefully with a PR) of her second half this year!! Go Kristin!!

Whew!! It sounds like a lot, but I am very excited (and suddenly nervous!) Make sure to check back here on the blog for race recaps.

Are you racing this weekend?
