Exercise makes all the difference

Hey everyone! How was your weekend??

Lots has happened since I checked in with you last. Friday night, the BF and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. It was pretty awesome! My gift to him was a new box of golf balls plus choice of: 1) 9 holes of golf with MOI! 2) tickets to a KU basketball game or 3) tickets to a Broncos football game. He hasn't decided what he wants yet, but I am hoping for the basketball game **hint, hint** **WINK, WINK**

As for my gift...no, it wasn't a shiny ring. Le sigh!! In time people..I did however receive...ticket to Reba!!

Yahooo!!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't always been a country music fan, but I love her music.

Even with all the fun I had this weekend, there were some not so fun times. If you haven't been reading long, over the past 3 weeks I've decided not to run a half marathon (because I didn't fee like training) and I've committed to getting back on track!

About that last part....not so much. I did turbo one day last week, but other than that, I did nada. Friday, as well as Sunday, were pretty rough days emotionally. I've touched on my depression before, but I had a tiny revelation this weekend.

Over the past 3 weeks, my mood has been a pendulum, swinging from one side to the other without notice. What's been different? What's missing? Exercise!!

My mood is much more even when I get a good sweat in during the day. I have to make it a priority in my life! My goals for this week: exercise 5 times, track every day.

Do you have a hard time finding balance? Any tips?

PS~ I added a new button on my side bar. If you are interested in seeing what I eat during the day, click on my lose it scale!! ------->

  1. I do have trouble finding balance :/

I just try really hard to make exercise a priority. Even if I go for a walk or quick jog or 20 mins at the gym.. it's all better than nothing!

  2. @ashleigh I have trouble doing that as well. Even when I say I will walk after work, it usually doesn't happen. I'm very "all or nothing" when it comes to healthy decisions.
